Compass is one out of the 104 items that can be bought from the Shop.

Appearance

The item appears as an octagonal shaped object similar to a pocket watch. With the lid already open upon choosing it in the inventory, it displays a black surface with the main directions inside with a magnetic needle in the middle, colored white and red on opposite ends.

Interaction

This item can be bought for 5,000 coins in-game or 4,500 coins with VIP. When choosing it in the inventory slot, it shows the magnetic needle's red end pointing in one direction. This needle will start shaking if there is a Floppy nearby or a certain object.

It serves a similar purpose with the Glognut, only without the multitude of distracting UIs that appear on the player's screen.

Upon interaction, it will show a message that depends if there is something or nothing within a floor. If there is something in the floor, such as a Floppy or a certain object, the compass will notify the player. However, the player must have the item inside their inventory slot. The magnetic needle will also begin to shake, with the red arrow pointing to its direction.

The certain objects the compass will point at (aside from Floppies) are:

• The Axoeye logo (Button Competition, Elevator Shaft, Funny Maze, Red Ball Temple, Rock Park, Superhighway)
• Giggler's Gift (Random Maze)
• Sticky Note (Fishy Aquarium, Floppy Shoppy)
• Sharpener (Stanley Room)
• Red Button (BFDI)
• Elevators (Normal SpeedRun)
• Eggs (Floors listed in the Regretevator Egg Hunt (2026))
• Opposite Direction of Sand Island (Skyblock)

The messages that can appear in interaction are:

• The compass senses nothing at the moment. (No certain objects or floppies nearby)
• The compass is picking up an unknown trace... (A certain object is nearby)
• The compass is picking several unknown traces... (More than 1 certain object or floppy are nearby)
• The compass is picking up traces of a nearby floppy... (An uncollected floppy is nearby)
• It might be above. (The object is above the player, and not where the player is currently in)
• It might be below. (The object is below the player, and not where the player is currently in)
• It's here. (The compass and player is now in front of the object or floppy)
