Kitty — regretevator

Kitty is one out of the 104 items in-game, and is also one of the 56 floor-exclusive items.

Appearances

In the main Regretevator game, the item appears as a simplified cat model (with the exceptions of the dogs and bunnies) that can be found with various colors and faces.

As of now, there are 11 Common variants, 24 Uncommon variants, 35 known Rare variants, and 6 known Epic variants, with 76 variants altogether (100 counting the Muffin Cat's and the Evil Cat's face variants), which are listed below.

Variants

Common - 100 weight value

"Black" - with the AsciiTerror face from Blockland.
"Calico" - Black torso and tail, orange left legs, white right legs, a white head, with the Sly Cat face.
"Cool" - Dark Blue with cool sunglasses.
"Cream" - With the :P face.
"Epic" - Yellow with the Epic Face.
"ImGoingToBreakMyMonitorISwear" - Looks like GorillaWeb, but Light Gray.
"Orange" - With the Pal Face.
"Pumpkin" - Orange, with a jack o'lantern face.
"Tabby" - With the Classic Goof face.
"Tan" - With the :3 face.
"White" - With the :3 face.

Uncommon - 10-50 weight value

"Cabbit" - 15 weight - Gray, without a tail, a picture of a gray cabbit's face plastered on it, and large triangular ears pointing backwards.
"Circle" - 15 weight- Blue, with a round head with a face resembling that of the white orb creatures from PET CAPTURE DELUXE.
"Concrete" - 15 weight- Grey, with the concrete texture and a cat-like face with a rough smile, similar to Melanie's.
"FREAK" - 15 weight - Looks like FREAK.
"Friend" - 10 weight - Pure black, with a pixelated face containing one yellow eye and one pink eye. (looks like IMAGE_FRIEND)
"Buck" - 15 weight - Looks like Buck.
"Gubby" - 15 weight - Looks like Gubby.
"IceCream" - 15 weight - Pink wooden body with ice cream cone ears.
"KindBall" - 15 weight - Pink body with a Kind Ball as its head.
"Kosheshka" - 20 weight - An orange and black cat.
"MonkeyBall" - 15 weight - Blue body with a Monkey Ball as its head.
"Muffin" - 15 weight - Light Yellow, with different faces:

"Noob" - 15 weight - Noob colors and face.
"PurpleOrb" - 15 weight - Purple with a Purple Orb as its head.
"RageFilled" - 50 weight - Red, with the Normal face, with the mouth flipped upside down and eyebrows drawn on.^[1]
"ReddyKitty" - 15 weight - Looks like Reddy.
"ScaredBall" - 15 weight - Orange body with a Scared Ball as its head.
"Shellshocked" - 10 weight - Has a helmet, and the Trauma Soldier meme face.
"SlimyimKitty" - 15 weight - Looks like SlimYim.
"Sobachka" - 30 weight - A brown dog.
"Square" - 15 weight - A pink kitty with a cube head.
"SquishyBall" - 15 weight - Green body with a Squishy as its head.
"StrangeBall" - 15 weight - Yellow body with a Strange Ball as its head.
"YarBall" - 15 weight - Cyan body with a Yar Ball as its head.

Rare - 5 weight value

"Alien" - Lime Green, has the Alien face. Up to five can usually be found in Area 51.
"Diablo" - Looks like Diablo from Meleeniacs.
"Donburako" - Dark brown kitty with a pumpkin head that has a scary PNG face. The body is actually from an old unused monkey model.
"Drakobloxxer" - Red, with a scary face and teeth.
"DreamBunny" - A white bunny. Several appear in Dying Mall guaranteed.
"eyepod" - Looks like SCP-131.
"flight" - A white kitty with a PNG of FlightReacts for a face.
"Garbo" - Looks like Garbo from Meleeniacs.
"GML" - Pitch Black, with a bust photo of a man as a face, which is also used as one of the Elevator panel images.
"God" - Neon White, with no viewable facial features.
"Gregoriah" - Black, with Gregoriah's head.
"Gregoriah2" - Black, with Gregoriah's new head.
"Grunt" - Looks like a Madness Combat character.
"JAOBA" - Looks like JAOBA.
"Jeff" - Looks like Jeff the Killer.
"Jermbo" - White, with a photo of Jermbo as a face.
"Jermbonination" - White, with Jermbomination's head.
"Josie" - Tabby, with the :3 face and without legs. This cat is a reference to SCP-529.
"Lampert" - White, with a black tail that resembles Lampert's electrical cord tail and a lamp for a head and a frowning Lampert face.
"Mannequin" - Wooden, with Mannequin Mark's face and his hard hat.
"Mari-Anna" - Looks like Mari-Anna from Meleeniacs.
"Mason Troy Adams" - Appears as Mason.
"Pest" - Looks like Pest.
"Pilby" - Looks like Pilby.
"Rave" - Yellow, with glowing shades and bracelets.
"RedBall" - Red body with a Red Teddy as its head, holding out the kitty plays its iconic "I HATE YOU!!" voiceline.
"Sigma" - Dark Brown, with a comedic face referencing that of the Sigma meme.
"Skitty/Scag" - Neon Blue kitty with Scag's face.
"Slenderman" - With a white head, the rest of its body is black.
"Trash Mammal" - Looks like Mae Borowski from Night In The Woods.
"Unpleasant" - Looks like Unpleasant.
"Wallter" - Looks like Wallter.
"Wario" - Looks like Wario.
"Zach" - Looks like Zach.

Epic - 1 weight value

"burger" - White, with an edited version of the Cat Eye Face. It has a Cheezburger as its torso.
"Cardboard" - Cardboard, with Wallter's face colored white. Appears in Cardboard Mansion.
"Evil" - Pitch Black, with different faces:

"Missing" - With "missing texture". It has PartyNoob's face.
"Translucent" - Pink Translucent, with the Normal face colored white. This kitty is known as "Template" in the game files.
"Renderman" - Pitch Black, with Renderman's face from a Blockland horror mod.

Other

" "^[2] - A black cat with a Normal face colored white just like the Translucent variant. Gives the white kitty variant when equipped. This was most likely a bug and used to appear in Minefield nearby the Theories floppy.

Removed

"Seabunny" - A white and purple sea bunny. It originates from the game Pressure, as a friendly entity you can trade items with.^[3]^[4] Found in Sebastian's Wares and Minefield.

Spawn Points

3008 - On top of beds, closets and the couches.
Area 51 - Sitting in various crates.
Backrooms - It's somewhere.
Cardboard Room - In the cardboard beds and couches.
Elevator Shaft - Behind a secret door that requires Hyperlaser to enter. 6 kitties always spawn.
Elevator x5 - In the 4th elevator. 4 kitties always spawn and each occupies a corner.
gm_flatgrass - The right wall of the inside of the building.
Minefield - On top of the ice cream truck and way behind the fence.
Mysterious Ball Room - The right of the room.
Normal Cow Tipping - In a corner.
Normal SpeedRun - Behind the elevator.
Random Maze - Up on a wall on the elevator's right side of the maze.
Sebastian's Wares - The right room, along the wall.
Superhighway - Behind a secret tunnel that is behind the house which requires Hyperlaser to enter. 6 kitties always spawn.
Toolbox Speedway - The dance floor of the winner's area, on top of a couch next to a red house and inside the infirmary building.
Toolbox Thrift - The left of the store, on the car and beside the dumpster.
Totally Bananas Arcade - The room in the back, as well as near the DDR machine
Funny Maze - On top of the wall outside of the elevator

Interaction

The item can be found within various floors that are listed above.

When equipped, the player will hold the kitty up, who will look around at random times. When interacted with, the player will kiss the kitty on the head and pet it. When inspecting it, the player will hug the kitty.

Trivia

Infected is the only NPC who will accept and hold kitties when offered to them.
- If Infected is holding a kitty and sits on a bench on Two Stud Camp and returns to the elevator, they will hold the kitty incorrectly.
- Unpleasant can also be offered a kitty. However, instead of holding it, the kitty will disappear with a munching sound effect and Unpleasant will be fully healed if damaged previously.
- More NPCs will have specific interactions with Kitties in the future. ^[6]
It's hinted by Yeuc_c that there may be more kitty variants. ^[7]
Players are only allowed to grab one kitty at a time.
- Trying to grab another will swap them out.
- If given multiple kitties by a developer, only one Kitty will save when you save your streak. This can lead to potential overwriting other kitties.
The Jermbo variant makes the same "womp womp" sound when Jermbo is encountered on Hole in the Wall, Other Elevator, Jeremy (floor) or by entering the Elevator in Jermpop Factory.
- This variant used to have Jermbo as the face on the head before it was changed to Jermbo replacing the head in an unknown update.
The Jermbomination variant used to have a normal tail before it was given its popsicle tail in an unknown update.
The Kitty model used for all of the item's variants originates from a cat morph found in the Morph Magic plugin that was prevalent throughout Roblox roleplaying games.
- All of the cat variants' ear models that the morphs used are also used for this item, and originates from the Kitty Ears hat published by Roblox.
- The Translucent kitty is mainly used when developers make a kitty variant.
Kitties are not guaranteed to spawn on a floor, with certain floors having a higher chance to have them.
- Area 51 has the highest chance to contain a kitty out of all of the floors, usually containing 5 in all, one in each of the minigames.
- Random Maze has the second highest chance to contain a kitty with a usually 2 kitties appearing on either of the closest corners to the elevator.
- The cardboard kitty can rarely be found on other floors, but is significantly more common on the Cardboard Mansion floor.^[8]
- Similar to the Cardboard kitty, the Alien kitty can also be found on other levels but is much more common on the Area 51 floor.
The NPC label used to call them cats, but the item name and sticker name call them kitties.
- When kitties were first added, the NPC label was KittyNPC.^[9]
- Even though there are 2 bunny variants and 1 dog variant, the item is still called "Kitty".
The Cool kitty was most likely inspired by Pete the Cat.
The Josie kitty was based off of SCP-529.
The Eyepod was based off of SCP-131-A.
Some kitty variants can glow in the dark. These include:
- God
- Rave
- Scag
The Alien kitty is mostly more common in Area 51, with usually 5 Alien Kitties being found there.
- Other kitties can rarely be found in its place.
Infected is able to hold the Lampert cat, even if the actual Lampert thinks it's unhygienic.
This is the first item to also be an NPC at the same time.
Since 12/29/24, there is a bug where the cat animation won't load, causing the cat to be stuck in a player's right arm.^[10]
- This has been patched.
The addition of the Seabunnies in the Minefield floor is a reference to how Pressure added the Anti-Personnel Landmines and Seabunnies in the 4.5 update, and where the Seabunnies may occasionally pull out a landmine when trading.
- In the 04/11/26 update, Seabunnies has been removed from the game due to a controversy regarding its creator.
- Currently, this is also the only kitty variant to be removed from the game.
  - It is also the only kitty variant that rewards a badge to the player upon being picked up, which is the "DEEP SEA BUNNY ACQUIRED!" badge.
The Dream Bunny has a different interacting animation where the bunny teleports to the player's mouth.
The Muffin Kitties are a reference to Muffin Kombat.
The Wario Kitty is a reference to Wario from the Super Mario Bros. franchise.
- As of its release, it is the only kitty variant that someone paid Yeuc_c for 50 bucks for it to be made.
Nicant has confirmed the spawn rates for the Kitty variants in the Discord.^[11]
While it is assumed that the " " variant is removed, it briefly appears for a single frame when a player switches out a kitty for another one. It is only noticable when the player swaps a kitty with a different head shape (such as the JAOBA and Slimyim variant) for a kitty with a normal head.
The item's image shown in the inventory shows a white cat, even if the player has a different cat.
- Before an unknown update, it would show the kitty variant the player currently has.
  - Sometimes, it would only show specific parts of the kitty when the player turns their quality from low to high.
As of the 07/19/25 update, players are able to locate Kitties using the Haunted Game (formerly Necrobloxicon).
