"Something doesn't look right.." This article contains some information that might not be reliable, or is only based off assumption. Reason: Some of the new effects are incomplete.

Effects are a game mechanic, which when in action, will alter the player in various ways. These effects can either benefit, harm, apply a cosmetic modification, or a combination of all three. These effects are also permanent, temporary, stackable, or can be all together. Effects can be achieved through several means, such as from items or floor events. All effects a player currently has can be seen above the player's health in the bottom left of the screen.

Some effects can be removed by cleansing it through the Fountain of Oceanus in OFFICE OF, or THE OBLITERATOR 9000 that can remove a singular unwanted effect with the cost of some coins.

Hovering over any effect will provide a small description of the effect, however some are vague. Below is a list of all effects currently in the game, alongside what effect they provide, how to obtain the effect, what type the effect is, and how long the duration of the effect is.

If they ignore the warning, they will begin to take damage. There is a 2.5% chance that when licking the Jerm Pop, the player will fade away and die. After licking the Jerm Pop around 5-6 times, the player will no longer be forced to lick it again for this life. The effect description changes as well; "Gain 20% more health with no more burden.". Trivia

• Effects that don't have a specific icon use a star instead.
  • Oddly, before DESTAIN DUST got its new icon, it used to be blank.
• As of the effect GUI overhaul, if a stack from a stackable effect gets depleted, the icon will flash for a short time.
• If the player has the Ragdoll or Banana Slip effects, they cannot go into first person until the effect ends.
• Fafa is a reference to an AI-generated image depicting "Annoying Orange in CS:GO".
  • The usage of the word "fafa" is also a reference to the Roblox game Dream Game, which has a hostile entity with that character's face named "Fafa" which can rarely spawn and glitch out the environment.
  • A horde of fafa is called a murder according to yeuc-c.
    • This word is also associated to a group of crows.
  • Fafa can be seen as a jump scare when using the Ifone.
  • Fafa can also be seen by the NPC SComics, which wears an orange t-shirt with fafa in front of the T-shirt.
• The Tokens of Asclepius, Midas, Hermes and Apollo used to have the same effect icons. However, their effect icons are now different depending on the item.
  • The Tokens of Asclepius, Hermes and Apollo formerly had different names. Them being Recovery, Momentum and Vitality respectively.
• In the 12/13/2025 update, the effect names for each Amulets, Tokens and Curse have been changed.

• The SERAPHIC GUISE ERADICATED effect is a possible reference to Cruelty Squad’s Hope Eradicated difficulty, which can be triggered by picking up an orb at a Hope Eradicated Shrine.
• The icon for The Orbs is the same as the eyes of the purple colored ball of the same name.
• Currently, Chains of Tartarus is the longest-lasting temporary effect.
• Formerly, upon using the Infinite Ice Cream item, you would no longer need to lick the Jerm Pop.
  • This has been patched as of 06/01/2024.
• Before the 6/8/2024 update, the Ragdolled effect could be applied to players hit by another truck in the Toolbox Speedway floor. However, this no longer occurs due to being buggy.
• In the 11/29/2025 update, there was a bug where the Ancient Inhbitor and Inhibitor didn't restrict the player's gravity, with the exception of Anvil's effect.
  • This is also the update where the name of Inhibitor would be changed to Inhibited.
  • This would then be patched in 12/02/2025.
• Before the 01/24/2026 update, players with the Yoyle Metal effect can be color their body and accessories from the "Paint Yourself" area in Toolbox Speedway.
  • After the update, only the face of the player can be colored as a gradient metal texture for the effect has been added.
  • Before the aforementioned update, the Infected effect only lasts for a second when a player briefly touches an infected part.
    • A part of the player's body would only be colored pink before the addition of the black checkered texture.
• The Gas Mask used to be the only effect that uses an icon unrelated to the effect.
  • The previous icon is now used for the Paranoia effect.
  • It also used to be one of the two effects with a background on their icon, the other being Tomato Torment.
    • As of the 8/24/2024 update, this is no longer present due to their effect icons being revamped.
• The new Gas Mask icon displays the "Biohazard" symbol.
• The DESTAIN DUST effect icon is similar to Boggle Power!, but with a multitude of arrows instead of a single one.
• The DESTAIN DUST effect's description does not match the purchase description of RED JUICE. DESTAIN DUST says it grants a 2x speed boost, but the purchase description says it grants a 75% speed boost.
• The character seen in Tomato Torment icon is Bob the Tomato, from the children's series VeggieTales.
• Oddly, the Rat Poison icon reuses the Post-Dance Awesomeness icon.
  • This also goes for Cuteness overload!!!!!!, which reuses the Token of Asclepius icon.
  • This also goes for Lightly Magnetic, which reuses the Magnetic icon.
• Rat Poison and Paranoia are the only effects that do not have a description.
• The planet seen in the Curse of Tartarus icon resembles Jupiter, the largest planet in the Solar System.
  • This likely references how Jupiter's gravity is higher than Earth's.
• The apple seen in the new Amulet of Asteria and Gravity Inhibitor icons reference Isaac Newton, specifically how he discovered gravity by seeing an apple drop from an apple tree.
• The new Leech! icon appears to resemble how the Bird Leech's inside looks like.
• The fafa hazards from Toolbox Speedway and the FAFA_HAND from Slap Battles temporarily give 50 fafa stacks to the affected player.
• On Mach's birthday, the Mach's Blessing effect was temporarily changed to Mysterious Blessing, with the description "Something is empowering you.".
• If you are given Rain Boots from Split or NULL or the princess costume from Jeremy's floor or WilliamPlayz57 while you are under the Squashed effect, the accessories given to you will be overstretched when you lose the effect.^[2]
• The Custom Face, Police Office Hat/Clothing and Pretty Princess effect are the only effects to not show up in the bottom left corner to where the other effects can be seen.
  • The same can be said for the Lightly Magnetic effect during the Regretevator Competitive event.
• The Unwavering Shards effect presents the player with a custom death screen.^[3] However if the player does not have the Observers Floppy, it will show up as a bunch of unreadable symbols. ^[4]
• The Unpleasant effect causes unique interactions with NPCs, for example, Mozelle will call the player "UGLY" and will tell them that they will "not have long left in this world." and Pest is able to steal 100 coins from the player with the effect.
  • In the 01/24/26 update, this effect prevented the progression of Daily Challenges, specifically NPC interactions that require Petal Cone and Spray Bottle. It was then patched later in the 02/01/26 update.
• The phone ringtone in the Overwhelming Popularity effect varies according to the subject who is calling. This includes the iOS "Marimba" ringtone
• Currently, Bloodlust is the only unfinished effect.
• Zach's Blessing is the only effect that can only be obtained once.
